remote channel stream converter
Hi,
Quite some time I'm satisfactorily using the e2 plugin extension: " remotechannelstreamconverter " .
Yet I extended it for use over my VPN connection, which works remarkably well.
However occasionally a small glitch/hickup can be experienced in the stream, which is not uncommon as the stream travels over the Internet encrypted in the end.
Still I hope this behaviour can be prevented for example by introducing an additional stream buffer to this plugin?
Thus once a "vpn" switch is set on tuning in to a station its stream is buffered for some additional seconds ( user configurable ), so the stream will play flawlessly.
Please note I do not refer to transcoding, just 1-1 (U)HD)) streams over VPN which requires roughly a continuous 20Mbit VPN connection on both ends.
Can this "enhancement" be achieved/developed easily, or is such plugin available perhaps?

Crossepg
The Crossepg provided in OpenPLi does not import XMLTV files anymore.
I am not sure where it is taken from (probably OE-Alliance)
This version has not been updated for a long time.
The version on E2OpenPlugins: https://github.com/E2OpenPlugins/e2openplugin-CrossEPG
has been adapted for reading xz files. However I am unable to make an ipk from it, or otherwise install it on a receiver.
I am getting several questions about importing EPG with the ais of CrossEPG. And I am unable to answer them, by the lack of a working version.
One of the problems is that Updating the Rytec sources doe not seem to work anymore. In python file which is suppose to do this, some files are being read which holds the data.
These files are still present and up-to-date (although they contain the .gz references at the moment)
My questions:
1. Update crossepg_rytec_update.py so it works again.
2. Provide a bitbake recipe which I can run in the OpenPLi building environment, so I can build a working version of Crossepg.
3. Maybe updating also the version on OE-Alliance
Lack of answers, will results in me complete abandoning Crossepg.

OpenPLI 6 - the soft-float ABIFLAGS + no ABIFLAGS -> Accessing a corrupted shared library

The soft-float ABIFLAGS + no ABIFLAGS combination combination binaries cause faile "Accessing a corrupted shared library".
This problem is confirmed issue and related to ABIFLAGS extenstion please read:

This cause problem when you want to run mipsel binaries compiled without ABIFLAGS extensions and use shared libraries compiled with this extension and vice versa.
May I ask if OpenPLI team plan to apply patch to fix this problem?

GStreamer 1.0
Dear All,
I thing that everyone likes some might interesting in the new features and stability? offered by newer versions of GStreamer.
OpenPLi currently has some "experimental" branches (named gst 1.0) where GStreamer API changes applied in order to be able to build images with the new version of GStreamer.
Using those branches i have managed to build an image using latest (stable) GStreamer 1.0.7.
Of course results are not so good. Almost.. no media work (except some mkv).
So i have some questions:
1. Do you want/accept patches for gst 1.0 branch?
2. Is it possible to update gst 1.0 branch to latest version (and synchronize with HEAD)?
3. What would be the starting point for fixing things, eg first try to fix MP3?
4. Maybe its better to create "experimental" gst 1.0 on Github so other teams interesting in Gstreamer 1.0 help?
I can attach changes already did here, if someone wants to play with GStreamer 1.0. Making one step at a time all of the sudden we are going to have the first Enigma2 with GStreamer 1.0.

I need to create Engima2, VU+ Plugin fro IPTV (to play streams .ts)
steps:
1- create single login box with Activation Code (use will enter the code and press green button to connect to our server)
2- read device MAC Address
3- send request to our server : http://api-host.com/actviate/?mac=00:55:00:00&code=123456&sn=000000
4- if success: print this message on screen (Welcome to our server you account expires after 30 days) then download categories and channels. if the code wrong, print Wrong code. or code is expired or code is not found.
5- view the categories screen 6- when user click on any category , go to channels list screen.
7- when user click on channel name, play the the stream.
8- i will give you full API reference.

Avilink 6222, vu + duo2 symbol rate issue

I did inquire from avilink technical support about higher symbol rate issue on vu + duo2 dual tuner. They told me to add following patch. But I have no experience on how to do it. Could you please look into it. The message which they sent me is as follows.

OpenPLI 6 - enigma2 - live pause external hdd
Hello,
I am using the Vu+ Solo2 receiver with OpenPLi 6/enigma2 configuration, and external hdd (TechniSat 1TB). Recording/programing works perfectly, but the live pause key is not working (pause key from remote control).
Is it possible tu use this function somehow or can it be loaded separately ?

XPower plugin - some things for lazy as me ...
My plugin XPower for WakeUp, Shutdown, Reboot, Get MAC and Standby, Hibernate PC's via your box. Works with os XP, Win7 and Ubuntu. I think, it is stable and can be added here. May be, somebody to find it useful. Works with telnet or with rpc net (XP only). I am using it in local network for managing all computers from bed ![:)]()
. May be useful for turning on/off PC with VLC too.
Note: for "rpc net" must be installed "net" file - attached is net for HDD or for USB, because size of net is 8MB and it is not good place it into flash of box.

OpenWebif [E2OpenPlugins]
Ok i think it is time to try to work to a common plugin ![:)]()
I have started OpenWebif.
This is not my project but our project. It is a long work but we have not hurry.
I have not intention to coordinate or to manage, everyone have to feel free to contribute in everyway.
Till now we have only the server starting and listening on port 8080 for static files in the folder: /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/OpenWebif/www/html
We have only an example html template there.
The next things to do i think that are:
to implement Authentication
to complete Configuration
to choose a layout
The server is listening on port 8080 to avoid conflicts with webinterface so you can test.
For tests use folder: /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/OpenWebif

open ports
Hello.
I have a Vu+solo4k with Openpli 6.0. Everyhing was running very good until I change my ISP.
They gave me a new router and since then I am not able to download firmware updates as well as new plugins from the openpli menù anymore
I suppose the needed ports are closed and I have to port forward correctly the Vu+ from the router menù.
Could you tell me which porta are used for the firmware and plugin download?
Other ports like 80 and 443 for http and https are already working fine.

Mut@nt hd51 no Oscam in download list
This morning I wanted to reflash the Mut@nt HD51 box to OpenPLI 6 (from OpenPLI 4) so I downloaded openpli-6.0-release-hd51-20171030_usb.zip and put the files on the USB for flashing. All went well but the last past, installing Oscam, failed. I went to Menu/Applications/Download plugins/softcams. There is no Oscam. All other cams are available. Tried rebooting/updateing/refreshing etc. No luck. Even via the CLI (opkg) there was no Oscam. So I went back to OpenPLI 4 and all is well. Is Oscam missing because of a reason or of a config mistake?

Open PLI 6.0 Release - Scam problem
Well I've moved from RC to Release and now (again) Scam will not start because it misses the libcrypto compat, and libcrypto ssl.
I've installed that manually - also made a symlink, and still no go...
Any help for this?

the problem is that if server1 or server2 (fake-no-connection) is always found with server1 and myfile is downloaded (in this case the message is always checkOk)
What escapes me ..
of course i checked in etc / enigma2 / setting is the selected Server is saved.
even leaving the plugin and coming back is the same.
