atype is:

str(audio.getTrackInfo(audio.getCurrentTrack()).getDescription())

Answers which I've seen include:

MPEG

AC3

AC3+

WMA version 8

audio/mpeg

MPEG 1 Audio, Layer 3 (MP3)

The first 3 ones appear when watching DVB-S or DVB-T services, while the last 3 ones appear when watching IPTV channels.

Is there any way to have more audio information ?

Instead of MPEG on DVB services, it should appear MPEG 1 Audio, layer 2 , isn' t it ?

Hi,

I'm using this light mediaplayer plugin Freeplayer, because he can handle all subtitle formats and have a mediaframework (eplayer & gstreamer) switcher integrated so i can watch all my movies.

The problem is i allways use 4:3 aspect ratio and i have to push five time the aspect ratio button to select 4:3.

Is there a way to modify the plugin to start by default with this aspect selection ?.

Here is the pugin ( source ) with the Freeplayer.py where i think the modifications have to be made.

I'm not a specialist so if anyone can help me it would be great.

If you get GS - post the crashlog.

If no crashlog -

Step 1. Select Debug 'Yes' in Settings (blue button). Select Save.

Step 2. Telnet command :-

init 4 && killall -9 enigma2 && enigma2>/tmp/e.log 2>&1 &

Step 3. Start plugin again. When you have the error - copy the file /tmp/e.log - zip or rar it - and post here.

All posts with error report must include a crashlog or e.log.

Please install all software for OE1.6 - then reboot image.

ADDON SETTINGS:

Addon settings are in addon folder /resources/settings.xml. Many settings are not useful for enigma2. But you may change language, country etc. Put your chosen settings in default=. But for type="labelenum", put your choice as the last in the values list.

I am looking into creating, building, uploading and installing my first (dummy) plugin. Just to get a feel for the proces involved in these steps.

I know I am expected to learn by example, searching forum, googling and so on. However I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Looking at some plugins it seems some use a makefile - make.am, while others use bitbake recipes - plugin.bb. Searching for creating openpli plugin I found: http://wiki.openpli.org/E2PluginsCreate , which seems to use yet anohter approach. 

My best guess is the preferred way is to use bitbake recipes and the wiki description is outdated or describes something completely different (and I misunderstood). 

To get more context. I cloned plugins from git into eclipse and these sourses are stored outside the openpli40 (setup tutorial). I copied one of the plugins and changed name, description, etc (setup.py) and removed all the plugin logic (only imports, def Plugin and def main remain). I just want to build, upload and install, so it will show up in the plugin menu. Then work from there.

All information about proces, preferred way of working, etc, is welcome offcourse. Thanks in advance

Hello all,

recently I updated my Open Pli4. I didn't update it since beginning of this year.

After update I found that Ddamir Subtitle player stop working.

I uninstall it and install it again. After installation when I try to download subtitles ( it doesn't matter which server I use it to download them ), I got green screen every time. Sub player can find subtitles, but can't download them.

In the same time setting can't be saved. I change language of subtitles to my native language, I change my prefered server etc., but after crashing and restarting of receiver, settings returns aways to Croationans subs, and podnadpisi.net server...

Is the error that blzr reports fixed?

Do you have a build environment to test a compile run from within?

I had one reference to difflib inside the code. The code was never executing so it did not report problems on normal run but some kind of compile procedure could see it as an issue.

I use difflib.py file renamed as localdifflib.py file so it integrates to the project without the necessity to install difflib library on the linux itself.

No, I don't have the environment to compile the code outside of normal execution on the box itself.

I now have an environment where I can test e2openplugins before submitting them. Problem is only that the rest of the environment doesn't work at the moment (the reason why there are no current images), so I guess we have to wait that out first.

Can not get it to work with an open pli Hyperion 4 image.  Icefilms I get error no hosts found and IPTV and other movies plugins  I get

Greetings for the festive season !

Attached is a new plugin KodiDirect.v1.0. It plays kodi-xbmc plugins directly from official kodi repositories. Users can also use other plugins and repositories of their choice.

Plugins can be input directly to the plugin folder /KodiDirect/plugins, or inserted in the plugin file /KodiDirect/host.txt as links to gihub plugins folders, or as links to repositories (unzipped) placed somewhere in the image. Please see host.txt for examples.

Some older plugins in the repositories may not work as they need updating by the authors - and probably do not work in any other device (pc and android).

Software (in the addons list screen) will provide additional software which may be needed by different image types.

If plugin XBMCAddons is already installed - KodiDirect can be found in Plugins and also in Extenssions lists. Users can continue using XBMCAddons - but please note that it will not be supported any more. Any particular XBMCAddons plugin that does not work with KodiDirect - may be converted on request.

Tip :- Some plugins will require youtube. When it is installed - please get it working first before trying the plugin that asked for it.

Finally - please note that at this stage the plugin is "work in progress" and your reports of any problems and suggestions will be greatly appreciated by the plugin develpment team - pcd, mfaraj and xtrendmaster,

I was allways useing "free" command to check memory. In the newest pli version there is no command "free". How can I check info about free memory or is it possible to get beck this command?
