OpenPLI 2.1 or 3.0?

Hello

I have an AZBOX Elite OpenPli2.1 and I want to ask you if is better to  keep the version 2.1 kernel 2.6.22?  or to go on ver 3.1 ? and if I have to change the Kernel's version?

Please,I want to ask you too : why every time I reboot the receiver I can't record and I have to configure the path hdd/movie/... every time.
