I want to build a STB from the open source Market and upgrade it accordingly to fit the next generation STBs.

1) Which is the top model that i can buy cheaply and put the open source code. It should work without the use of headend.
2) How to do Channel mapping and VOD server mapping.
3) Current capability - support HTML5, android,USB etc.
Intentions are to enable the layer with camera features.
